Where to stay near Myrtle Beach?

We are wanting to go on vacation to a beach, and don’t want to fool with a rental house because they seem so expensive. I need help on what beach and what specific hotel or resort. We want a kitchenette and have a daughter that will be about 15 months old. Any suggestions of places to stay, or even places to stay away from. Neither of us golf, and I definately want a pool.

      I always have rented homes or a condo. One time I did stay at the Sea Watch Resort. That was pretty nice.
