The USGA and R&A are looking REALLY hard at China. They wanted golf in the Olympics there fiercely, hoping that would cause the government to overturn taxes on the sport, thus making it available to more people. India is considered, in terms of golf, among that area. They look at the number of people there and salivate… it’s almost like the boom of ‘97-’98, when Tiger helped the game explode in the US.
South America is another spot, and made even better with their inclusion in the Olympics.
Cuba is another area. Why, I don’t know- not with Castro still lurking around somewhere.
Personally, I want to go to Scotland. Yeah, everyone (pretty much) has The Old Course in St. Andrews on their “to do” list, but I don’t care. There’s many things about that course that are intriguing.
