Amit Kheterpal asked:

While Myrtle Beach is by far the best as far as the numbers of golf courses go, but Kiawah Islands is a spot of golfing which the golfing tourists cannot ignore. Kiawah Islands have their own place in the golfing destinations of the country with special emphasis on the lush green, sheltered away from the urban life environment.

The added advantage is that it is not that crowded as the other golf plus beach combinations are. A lot of people would like to places where there is hustle and bustle. But it should not get too much so that jostling crowds as opposed to enjoying the vacation.

The natural resident of the Kiawah Islands have been the Eagles and the Egrets. The golf obsessed travelers have five golf courses which they can choose from and they also have a golfing academy to learn golf while on the vacation. The Kiawah Island is located about 21 miles away from Charleston. It is vacation place for nature lovers, sports enthusiasts and families. Kiawah and John Islands are the best and beautiful retreats in the area of Charleston.

Kiawah offers the non-golfers something to look forward to. The resorts here in the Islands situated outside of Charleston, S.C. This place offers beaches along the 10 mile coastline where you can take long walks or laze around in the sand all day long. The area has the tennis playing facilities as well as cycling trails for the sport aficionados. It is a complete destination in itself with all attendant facilities for kids and shopping for the spouses. But make sure that you check out everything on the internet before booking. Also make sure that pick the right season to go to Kiawah.

The most famous course is the scenic Ocean Course which was designed by Pete Dye .This course was host to various tournaments like the Ryder Cup and the World Golf Championships. It also hosted the Senior PGA championship. The other courses in this area have been designed by Jack Nicklaus, Tom Fazio, Gary Player and the famous Clyde Johnston.

Southern hospitality and the Charleston lifestyle is a plus on a golfing vacation. The island has friendly character to it. The other apart from Ocean Course golf courses here are Oka Point, Cougar Point, Osprey Point and the Turtle point.

Pack your bag, take your golf equipment and get ready for tee off. Enjoy the vacation.

Discount Golf Vacations, Value for Money

Saturday, May 2nd, 2009

Robert Riles asked:

There is only one thing that people look forward to every year, and that is a well deserved vacation. If you have been saving up for a golf vacation, but cannot afford one in a plush environment, you should try to get some tickets on a discount golf vacations package. When unable to book a room at a classy, high profile, luxurious hotel or golf resort, why not give the others a shot? These discount vacations are no less in terms of quality of place or environment. Sometimes you just might get a package deal at the place you have been wanting to go, but had to disregard due to expense issues. For most men, playing golf during holidays is what makes them happy, and today it is true of some women as well.

Whether the person is an amateur or a professional, they need to have a golf course nearby with easy access from the hotel. Golf always gets them going, and bringing out the child in them, keeping the excitement from faltering. And if you have been dreaming of playing at a range, but never did so because of cost, well, these discount deals are just for you. Just approach any of the travel agencies, give them your specifications and wait for them to come up with a package that you can not only afford but matches your needs. On the other hand, if you are familiar with the computer and Internet, you could get online and hunt for a good discount travel deal on your own. This way, you wont even have to shell out a commission for the travel agent.

There are over a thousand websites, catering to those who are seeking discount offers across the country at different locations. Some of them are quite helpful, they provide details pertaining to weather conditions, the size of the golf range, and facilities available. These will enable you to make the right choice so that your entire family enjoys the vacation. It is best to go on a golf holiday when the sun is shining and there is no overcast skies, as the latter will dampen the spirits of the game enthusiasts and leave them cooped up indoors.

Remember that a discount doesn’t necessarily mean cheap, it is an alternative to paying full fare. Just like on airlines,we avail apex fare, which is a discounted fare, we dont travel on low class planes. The facilities and services are just the same, only the cost is lower. Discount golf vacations are a fun way of taking your family along to a place that has something for everyone. Check with the website on what are the items included in the package, whether it is inclusive of flight tickets or not so you can plan accordingly. Do a background study on the place, rooms available, food, and other amenities around the area. You would not want to be stuck at a resort where there is nothing but a golf range.

Tips For Planning a Jamaica Golf Vacation

Friday, May 1st, 2009
golf vacation
Richard Teesdale asked:

Are you an avid golfer? If you are, you may be interested in planning a golf vacation. While you have an unlimited number of destinations to choose from, Jamaica is one that you should closely examine.

As nice as it is to hear that Jamaica is a great destination for a golf vacation, you may be wondering why. For starters, Jamaica is a popular vacation destination that is filled with a number of high-quality resorts. This means that if you are traveling with non-golfers, such as a spouse or children, there are an unlimited number of fun things for them to do while you enjoy the day on the green. It is also important to note that you will not spend 24 hours a day golfing, so be sure to pick a destination, like Jamaica, that you will enjoy.

When planning a Jamaica golf vacation, you will need to create a budget for yourself. This is important if you will be traveling on limited funds. Determine how much money you have to spend, even if it is just a generalized estimate. Next, determine how much you would like to spend on your overnight accommodations, food, drinks, golf, and other entertainment. This can make planning your trip much easier and more affordable, as you will be concerned with costs.

When planning a Jamaica golf vacation, you will want to wisely choose your vacation destination. Since you have already decided on Jamaica, that is a start, but where in Jamaica do you want to stay? To make your decision, you will want to examine the golf courses located on the island. For example, Montego Bay is home to the White Witch Golf Course.

In addition to the above mentioned Jamaica golf course, there are two that are located right on the premises of popular all-inclusive Jamaica resorts. Located at Runaway Bay, you will find the Breezes resort. It is home to an 18-hole golf course that is of PGA quality. About 15 minutes away, you will find the Grand Lido Braco Resort and Spa, which is home to a 9-hole golf course. These two resorts should be closely examined, as there are a number of benefits to staying where you golf.

One of the benefits to staying at an all-inclusive Jamaica resort with an onsite golf courses is the saved time and money. When you are automatically paired with a quality golf course, you spend less time and money traveling. As previously stated, the Breezes resort which is located in Runaway Bay and the Grand Lido Braco Resort and Spa are only 15 minutes apart. This means that you could easily enjoy two golf courses, without having to travel far. In fact, that is how you are encouraged to choose your resort. You want one that is centrally located.

Returning back to the Breezes at Runaway Bay and the Grand Lido Braco Resort and Spa, they are not only considered all-inclusive resorts, but super-inclusive resorts. This means that your stay includes more, but with no strings attached. If you have a spouse or children who will not be joining you in a game of golf, this can give you comfort and peace of mind in knowing they will not be bored or burdened with extra expenses back at the resort.

Next, it is important to determine when you want to travel to Jamaica for a golf vacation. Of course, the decision is yours to make, but you should keep the weather in mind. The good news is that the Caribbean is the perfect destination for a golf vacation, as the weather seems perfect just about all year round. The best temperatures in Jamaica are from May to September, as the weather is warmer. As for rain, Jamaica has two rainy seasons. Although rainfall totals are still considered low, these seasons are between May and June and then September and November.

When planning a Jamaica golf vacation, the above mentioned steps are just a few of the many you will want to take. As a recap, it is important to choose a destination that allows you to get the most out of your golf trip. That is why all-inclusive resorts should be examined.
